GhostSurf Installation Installation and Configuration PLEASE NOTE - THIS PAGE CONTAINS INFORMATION ABOUT GHOST SURF PRO WHICH HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED. SEE THE NEW REVIEW FOR INFORMATION ON GHOST SURF PLATINUM. Installation is as simple as downloading the file by clicking on the button at the bottom of the page and double clicking on the file once it appears on your PC. After Installation, the following screens will appear: I have all three browsers on my PC so I checked them all off. If one of your choices is Internet Explorer, the following screen will come up. No changes need to be made for Internet Explorer. If you have additional browsers, the following screen come up once for each one and has information on how to configure each. The only difference between the Netscape and Opera screens is that one has "Opera" for the browser name and the other has "Netscape". The configuration port and IP address are the same for both. These are simple adjustments and GhostSurf has help pages showing exactly where these changes can be made. Next you will see a request for proxy server information. Only enter information here if you are using a proxy server; if not, leave it blank and continue. Please note that this is NOT where you enter the proxy server information (127.0.0.1 port 7212) mentioned in the Opera/Netscape step. The next screen will tell you that GhostSurf is setting up anonymous hubs. Just click "next". Next you will be asked to try to connect to the internet. Use Internet Explorer to do this so you don't have to stop and reconfigure your other browsers. Click the test button and you should get this result. That's it! Try going to various sites on the web and you should see the GhostSurf "Eye" in the taskbar blinking orange when the program moving data.
